This tool helps find duplicate music tracks.
When you start collecting music, very often duplicate copies of tracks get stored in different folders. You tend to lose track of them and these tracks keep sitting there consuming storage space. Boxoft Duplicate Music Finder is a program that detects duplicates automatically with different methods and similarities. Once the duplicates have been identified, you can export them to other folders or delete them. This tool will also help organize your music. This tool uses various methods to find duplicates. It is able to find duplicate audio files with different bit rate, length, frequency, etc. It helps sort or remove duplicate files after scanning. It embeds an audio player for you to actually play suspect tracks to see if the tracks marked duplicate are really the same. The Boxoft Duplicate Music Finder compares tracks much in the way a human being would and "listens" to your audio files. The comparisons are then made to find similarities.
Many duplicate finder tools actually look at MP3 file tags or even crude file size to locate duplicate files. That way there will many false positives. This finder will help you to find all similar or exact duplicate audio files in a folder and subfolders. It is possible to specify a threshold of similarity, say 80% to mark tracks to be a duplicate. At the end of scan process, the program marks the smaller bitrate, shorter length and/or smaller file size files for deletion (the lower quality ones). All duplicates are shown in groups. Lower bitrate copies are marked for deletion. Following formats are supported including MP3, MP2, MP1, MPA, WAV, OGG, AIFF, AAC, MP4, FLAC, AC3, WavPack (WV), Musepack (MPC) and Windows Media Audio (WMA) file formats. This is a good tool.
